Mike German will discuss his newest book, Policing White Supremacy: The Enemy Within, co-authored by Beth Zasloff. He is a fellow in the Brennan Center’s Liberty and National Security Program, which seeks to ensure that the U.S. government respects human rights and fundamental freedoms in conducting the fight against terrorism.

Mr. German is a former special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation whose work focuses on law enforcement and intelligence oversight and reform. During his 16-year career as a Special Agent in the FBI, German spent many months undercover, first among white supremacists and then among right-wing militants.

His 2008 book, Thinking Like a Terrorist: Insights of a Former FBI Undercover Agent, was about his experiences as a special agent.
