B’nai Mitzvah Family Learner’s Services

Becoming B’nai Mitzvah involves so much more than what happens on the day of the ceremony. The journey includes skills training, Torah study, and a spirit of reflection leading up to the actual ceremony date. That’s why we would like to offer you and your family the opportunity to come together for our B’nai Mitzvah Family Learner’s Services! For families with children in grades 5-8.

We’ll learn about the structure of a traditional service; practice skills including carrying, lifting, and dressing the Torah; think about writing a speech; learn to study and interpret Torah; and reflect on the meaning of this exciting milestone.

8th graders who have already become B’nai Mitzvah will have the chance to join these services in order to share best practices and advice, and to model the skills they learned through this process.

We encourage you to join us as we believe that these experiences will greatly enhance your family’s B’nai Mitzvah experience.
