A Place For Us: A Celebration of Jewish Broadway

Bistro Award winner Ari Axelrod brings his internationally acclaimed and multi-award-winning show, “A Place for Us: A Celebration of Jewish Broadway,” back to Birdland Theater for one night only.

This year saw a stark rise in local, national, and global antisemitism. It’s important not to lose the “joy” to the “oy.” Or, in other words, rather than fighting AGAINST antisemitism, we can fight FOR Jewish vitality and celebrate Jewish culture and its impact on the world. This show is just that: a celebration of Jewish vitality and Jewish culture. Join Ari in celebrating and honoring the songs and stories of Jewish composers and their contributions to the American Musical. With beloved melodies and lyrics by the likes of Bernstein and Berlin to Sondheim and Schwartz, you will be transported to the streets of the theatre district, your Bubbie’s Shabbos table, or your corner of the sky.

**A portion of ticket sales will be donated to Anti-Defamation League.

In their own words, “Anti-Defamation League is the leading anti-hate organization in the world. Founded in 1913, its timeless mission is ‘to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all.’ Today, Anti-Defamation League continues to fight all forms of antisemitism and bias, using innovation and partnerships to drive impact. A global leader in combating antisemitism, countering extremism and battling bigotry wherever and whenever it happens, Anti-Defamation League works to protect democracy and ensure a just and inclusive society for all.”
